Experience your dream job in home design with Residential Architecture! Seeking a Residential Architectural Designer needed to be part of an award-winning team.

Creativity and problem-solving skills are a must. Extensive knowledge of floor plan layouts, exterior elements, and roof design.

Self-motivated, hardworking, meets deadlines, and is dedicated to flourishing as a designer. You will work directly with clients (Homeowners and local builders) to design and manage their plans / homes.

Responsibilities :

  • Design and communication skills : verbal, written, and graphic
  • Floor plan design, exterior elevation design
  • Work closely with clients, contractors, and engineers
  • use of CAD drafting software is required, along with SketchUp, Photoshop, and Lumion is a plus
  • Develop design drawings : site plans, floor plans, elevations, and 3d modeling (position does not need to create C.D.’s)
  • Must be skilled in updating drawings with 'redline feedback, creating site plans, addressing regulatory remarks
  • Ability to retain conversations and timelines
  • Able to reconcile different viewpoints and use creative thought processes, positive solution-minded.
  • Ability to collaborate with the overall team to meet deadlines
  • Work with and oversee the draftsman to verify your designs are correctly communicated

Experience :

  • Must have a full understanding of CAD software and use it to create, change, and complete a floor plan based on client request.
  • A full understanding of the exterior elements of a home including some roof design.
  • Can conduct client meetings based on the entire design of the home.
  • Knowledge of IRC code and building systems
  • Minimum 4-8 years experience in residential design
  • Minimum 2 or 4 year architectural / design degree, drafting degree, or interior design degree
