DaVita is seeking an individual to join our product operations team. The main objective for the Director of Product Operations will be to lead product transformation and discipline across our product organization.

We are looking for someone who is a product evangelist, has led large product teams in the past, and is ready to coach and mentor our product teammates.

Location : Denver or Nashville preferred, remote okay

This is a hybrid role with a need to travel to the Denver and Nashville offices for large meetings.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to :

  • Develop and launch The DaVita Product Way’ with consistent nomenclature and frameworks across all product teams.
  • Organize and develop Objectives and Key Results (OKR’s) with leaders across products and 200+ product teammates.
  • Adoption and consistent use of Apptio Target Process tools across all teams (prior knowledge of Apptio preferred) with an overall objective of financial transparency.
  • Host monthly product executive leadership meeting with our product leadership team to drive change and outcomes throughout the product organization.
  • Document and rollout career ladders across product teams in partnership with our People Services department.
  • Update and maintain a monthly executive report-out with six quarters of roadmaps across products.
  • Develop a vision and strategic approach for The DaVita Product Way’ focused on educating best practices for the Product Development Lifecycle (PDLC) and product operations.
  • Build customized learning paths for different levels that include workshops, on-demand coaching, and group coaching.
  • Host post-class feedback through surveys and anecdotal feedback to inform changes needed in the product education courses.
  • Champion operational excellence by identifying areas for improvement, implementing best practices, and ensuring alignment with organizational goals.

Education and Qualifications :

  • 10+ years of experience with product and project management, ideally within a technology, data, or financial services company.
  • Undergraduate degree required.
  • Experience with managing / leading / creating high-performing teams in different global locations.
  • An understanding of market delivery / content creation platforms and the integrations with other internal systems / databases.
  • A proven track record of delivering projects in collaborative agile team environments.
  • The ability to present to business and technical audiences commanding sufficient subject matter expertise.
  • The ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects simultaneously and under tight deadlines.
  • The ability to engage effectively and credibly with a senior audience.
  • Exceptional project management & organizational skills.
  • Proven ability to build senior-level relationships, to lead cross-functional teams, and to influence decision making.
  • Ability to develop strong partnerships with senior leadership across CI including, Commercial, Technology, Compliance, Risk, Finance and Legal.
  • Significant experience working within a product organization; you understand common product lingo, product development cycles, and can bridge knowledge gaps between technical and non-technical teams.
  • Experience in process mapping, documenting standard operating procedures, and checklists / tools.
  • Agile development skills, experience as a Product Owner (PO) writing user story, managing a backlog.
  • Proactive nature and always seeking to move projects forward.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to break down complex or detailed topics so that anyone can understand them, regardless of the audience.
  • Thrive in a matrixed and cross-functional environment.
  • Ability to engage in the details and solve problems creatively.
  • Strong judgement / pragmatic approach to product operation with the ability to frame and drive balanced decisions.

Salary / Wage Range : $100,100.00 - $147,000.00 / year

Compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience and may fall outside of the range shown.
