Summary of Responsibilities

We are seeking an enthusiastic and resilient Operations Manager to join our outstanding team. Our ideal candidate is energetic, motivated, and organized, with a reputation for integrity you do what you say you’re going to do.

Essential Functions

  • Oversee and manage Operations team which includes PM Team and Solar Squad
  • Conduct weekly development meetings with managers
  • Management of PM’s tasks, project pipelines and bandwidth and manage projects
  • Management of Solar Squad- maintenance, monitoring and troubleshooting
  • Motivate and mentor team members for performance excellence
  • Coordinate and oversee subcontractors
  • Prioritize projects and resources to hit company revenue and other goals
  • Responsible for revenue and project forecasting
  • Oversee invoicing and job payments
  • Prep and run operation meetings
  • Assist with the recruiting of team members
  • Ensure that each team member in your department is the right person in the right seat they hit their metrics and share our core values
  • Lead and facilitate process initiatives by documenting processes, driving efficiency, and developing solutions
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and industry regulations
  • Stay up-to-date on changing regulatory landscape and implement necessary changes
  • Navigate and understand all stages of a solar project including chronology, dependencies, and risk / reward

Education, Experience, and Skills Required

  • 3-5 years of managing commercial solar operations
  • Minimum 5 years of construction project management
  • 4- year bachelor’s degree
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word & Excel)
  • Gantt charts experience a must!
  • NABCEP certified preferred
  • Experience in Smartsheet a plus
  • Experience in planning and executing commercial solar projects from inception to completion including ability to manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively
  • Understanding and experience with solar energy systems, and components, familiarity of commercial solar project design and installation processes
  • Experience implementing safety protocols and quality assurance measures in operational processes
  • Must have solid technical knowledge, be able to read one lines, and structural engineering letters, and plans
  • Understand codes (fire / set back / NEC). Know how to address code issues and how to pass inspections
  • Experience in managing relationships with commercial clients, vendors, and stakeholders
  • Travel necessary - must have a valid driver's license AND an acceptable motor vehicle report
  • Full time : Mon-Fri. 4 days / week in office

Salary & Compensation

  • $95,000- $120,000 annual salary (depending on experience)
  • Health, vision, and dental insurance after 90 days
