Developand implement strategic plans for managing severance tax functionswithin the Oil & Gassector.
Provide leadership inoptimizing tax processes to ensure compliance and maximizefinancialefficiency.
RegulatoryCompliance :
Stayabreast of federal state and local tax laws and regulations relatedto severance tax in the Oil & Gasindustry.
Ensure the companyscompliance with all relevant tax laws andregulations.
TeamLeadership :
Leadand mentor a team of tax professionals providing guidance oncomplex tax issues and fostering a culture ofexcellence.
Collaborate withcrossfunctional teams to achieve overall organizationalgoals.
FinancialAnalysis :
Conductthorough financial analysis to identify opportunities for taxsavings and optimization.
Workclosely with finance and accounting teams to integrate taxstrategies into overall financialplanning.
Communication :
Communicateeffectively with internal and external stakeholders providingupdates on taxrelatedmatters.
Represent theorganization in discussions with tax authorities and other relevantentities.
RiskManagement :
Identifyand mitigate potential tax risks ensuring the organization operateswithin acceptable riskparameters.
Develop and implementrisk management strategies related to severancetax.
Requirements
Bachelorsdegree in Accounting Finance or a related field. Advanced degree orrelevant professional certifications (CPA CMA)preferred.
5years of experience in severance tax management within the Oil& Gasindustry.
Proventrack record of successfully navigating and ensuring compliancewith complex taxregulations.
Strongleadership skills with experience in managing and developinghighperformingteams.
Exceptionalanalytical and problemsolvingabilities.
Excellentcommunication and interpersonalskills.
