Job Description : We are seeking a dedicated RN or LPN with expertise in IV Therapy to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for administering IV treatments, monitoring patient responses, and ensuring high-quality patient care.
Requirements :
- Valid RN or LPN license in New Mexico
- Experience with IV therapy
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Responsibilities :
- IV Administration : Initiate, monitor, and discontinue IV infusions, ensuring accurate and sterile techniques.
- Patient Assessment : Assess patients' IV access needs, including vein selection and catheter insertion.
- Medication Management : Prepare and administer IV medications, fluids, and electrolytes per physician orders.
- Monitoring : Continuously monitor patients for adverse reactions and complications, ensuring prompt intervention if necessary.
- Documentation : Accurately document all IV therapy procedures, patient responses, and any changes in condition in electronic health records (EHR).
- Patient Education : Educate patients and families on IV therapy procedures, potential side effects, and post-care instructions.
- Collaboration : Work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
