JobResponsibilities :
Thefollowing represents some major areas of concern in SpecialEducation. Other areas in the Special Education field will berequired to fulfill all the needs of the classroom and studentIEPs.
- Plancurriculum lessons and special education programs and teachingmethods.
- Maintain contact withparents of students and invite them to participate in educationalprogress.
- Maintain the physicalenvironment of the classroom for organization and presentationpurposes.
- Instruct individuals andgroups on Special Ed. skillareas.
- Modify curriculum accordingto IEP and administer testingevaluations.
Requirements
- BachelorsDegree required with classroom experiencepreferred.
- Active state license as aSpecial Education Teacher.
- 1 yearsof experience working as a Special EducationTeacher.
- Experience working withstudents with various disabilities including autism learningdisabilities and emotional / behavioraldisorders.
- Knowledge of specialeducation laws andregulations.
