  • Location : Washington, DC 20010 (ideal for nurses seeking Washington, DC healthcare jobs)\n
  • Unit : 3G Neuro Trauma ICU\n
  • Assignment Type : Travel Nursing\n
  • Start Date : November 24, 2025\n
  • End Date : February 23, 2026\n
  • Duration : 13-week contract\n
  • Shift : 4x12-hour shifts / week, primarily days (07 : 00 - 19 : 00); up to two weeks of nights possible per six-week schedule\n
  • Hours per Week : 36\n
  • Patient Ratio : 1 : 2\n
  • Scrub Color : Ceil blue\n
  • Flu Vaccine : Required (no exemptions)\n
  • Estimated Weekly Salary : $1650 - $1770\n

    • \n\nRegistered Nurse Qualifications\n \n

  • Active DC RN license (pending accepted with proof; must have in hand by start date)\n
  • Minimum 2 years of recent ICU RN experience (travel nurses welcome)\n
  • Required certifications : BLS, ACLS, NIHSS (CCRN preferred)\n
  • Proficiency with conscious sedation, ICP monitoring, ventilators, and EVDs\n
  • Preferred : Level 1 trauma experience, pulmonary artery lines, IV starts, phlebotomy, Cerner charting\n
  • Willingness to float to units of equivalent or lower acuity\n
  • Two supervisor references required\n
  • Flu vaccine required (no exemptions)\n

    • \n\nICU Nurse Responsibilities\n \n

  • Deliver direct patient care in the Neuro Trauma ICU for patients with SAH, ICH, ischemic stroke, brain mass, and head trauma\n
  • Operate and manage specialized equipment : EVDs, Raumedic Bolt, Artic Sun, CVVH, lytic catheters, Flo-tracker, PA catheters\n
  • Assist with procedures such as arterial line management, chest tube insertion / removal, and phlebotomy\n
  • Administer blood products and titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips\n
  • Interpret arterial blood gases and dysrhythmias\n
  • Implement infection prevention and isolation protocols\n
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams : IV, respiratory, physical therapy, pharmacy, and social services\n
  • Float to other ICUs / IMC as needed\n
  • Complete orientation and required modules prior to start\n
