The primary role of the Financial Data Analyst will be to be able to create, debug, modify and fine tune complex SQL statements.

The candidate will also assist in the data migration from the SAS environment into AWS cloud platform by rewriting the SAS codes in a SQL language.

The incumbent will also assist in documenting the SAS / AWS migration process.

  • Work with the financial close team in the reconciliation of data between SAS, Workday and AWS environments.
  • Assist in training the financial close team on how to use SQL language to build adjustments required for the financial close.
  • Assist in the maintenance and improvement of monthly financial close process in AWS.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
  • Work experience with data analytics.
  • Experience in creating, maintaining and running complex queries using SQL.
  • Work experience with large volumes of data in Excel utilizing advanced functions such as VLookups, Pivot Tables, formulas, model building.

Preferred Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Math, Statistics or Computer Science from an accredited institution.
  • Extract Transformation and Load / ETL experience.
  • Experience with SAS to AWS migrations.
  • Analytical experience in a healthcare environment (such as a managed care organization, commercial health insurance plan, hospital system, etc.)
  • Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization, including technical staff, internal non-technical staff, and business stakeholders.
  • Ability to effectively and efficiently adapt in a dynamic environment.
  • Ability to challenge the status quo and drive lean implementation.
  • Ability to quickly develop an understanding of systems and technology.

Hiring Range* :

Greater New York City Area (NY, NJ, CT residents) : $67,200 - $97,155

All Other Locations (within approved locations) : $59,800 - $88,910

As a candidate for this position, your salary and related elements of compensation will be contingent upon your work experience, education, licenses and certifications, and any other factors Healthfirst deems pertinent to the hiring decision.
