OverviewChestnut Health Systems is seeking a full-time Community Recovery Technical Assistance Specialist to serve on the Statewide Recovery Oriented System of Care (ROSC) Project in IDHS-SUPR Region 1.

Service areas include the city of Chicago and Cook County. Note that the successful candidate will work hybrid with expectation to travel within the service area and the state.

We provide fully integrated care for all of our patients by combining behavioral health care services with our community-based primary care health centers.

Responsibilities Provide assistance for Recovery Oriented System of Care (ROSC) projects in developing, coordinating, implementing and evaluating programs within their service areas.

This includes, but is not limited to, recovery support events and projects, community trainings, and other evidence-based programs for adults or community members.

Assist and advise ROSC councils in their development of evidence-based programs and practices by providing feedback and recommendations regarding their organizational activities, including meetings, new member recruitment, and communication with members.

Monitor ROSC lead agency’s project deliverables, including timeliness and adherence to outcome measures. Review and provide feedback on items submitted as part of grant deliverables in a format / timeframe as agreed upon with supervisor.

Communicate regularly with ROSC council leadership (agency staff and community members) regarding deliverables, available resources, etc.

Participate in local ROSC council meetings. Conduct assessment of ROSC council leadership to determine training and technical assistance needs.

Develop and implement trainings for ROSC councils based on cohort, identified needs, and current research. Provide program / grant reports in a timely manner.

Take a lead role in mentoring and training staff and interns, routinely and consistently. Participate and take leadership role in local, state, and national advocacy groups / collaborations related to recovery supports.

Fulfill agency and funder responsibilities including staff development, monitoring research, participation in agency meetings and committees and other responsibilities as designated by supervisor.

Promote the recovery model of treatment including trauma-informed care, hope, respect, empowerment, health / wellness and spirituality / connectedness in all interactions with others, including utilizing recovery language.

Maintain and protect confidentiality and security of all organizational information gained in the course of performing job responsibilities including, but not limited to, financial and client information.

Promote Chestnut’s culture of customer service excellence through the adherence to Chestnut’s behavioral standards for customer service.

Perform other duties as assigned.Qualifications Position requires a Master’s degree in a behavioral health, public health, education or other field related to grant deliverables and a minimum of 2 years related experience;

or a Bachelor’s degree in a behavioral health, public health, education or other field related to grant deliverables, with a minimum of 5 years of related experience.

Knowledge of recovery, program development, needs assessment / evaluation and community capacity building is required. Experience in grant writing and budgeting is preferred.

Must have ability to provide leadership, handle large projects, and collaborate with others within the agency and community.

Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), Zoom and online reporting systems is required. Must have a valid driver’s license, private automobile insurance, be insurable, and have home internet connection.

Position requires ability to travel to locations within the site plan area. Must be able to obtain DCFS CANTS Child Abuse Clearance.
