The Opportunity with McKinstry

We are currently seeking a Building Performance Standards Senior Consultant to join McKinstry as a member of our growing Mountain Technical Services team.

In this role, you will be a front-line project lead on high-impact energy and facility optimization consulting projects, owning delivery and client relationships to deliver outcome-oriented solutions.

Communication and collaboration are key aspects of this role, requiring you to partner with other McKinstry teams to deliver effective results while managing client expectations.

You will be responsible for making technical recommendations, building actionable reports, and presenting them to clients.

What You Need to Succeed :

Education : BA / BS degree in Engineering, Architecture, Facilities Management, Environmental Science, or equivalent field of study.

A master’s degree or higher is a bonus.

• Demonstrated proficiency as an energy engineer : CEM, PE, or BEAP preferred.
• Seven years of experience in energy efficiency with a minimum of 3 years of relevant building energy analysis experience.
• 3+ years of experience with project management and client consulting, including sustainability planning and capital planning.
• Strong written and verbal communications experience.
• Exceptional project management skills.
• Passion for sustainability and energy conservation in the built environment.
• Working knowledge of mechanical and control systems such as Siemens, JCI, ATS, and others.
• Energy Management and Sustainability Professional designations are a plus.
• Working knowledge of issue management systems such as BIM360 and CxAlloy preferred.
• Proven understanding of building energy and mechanical systems.
• Advanced proficiency with MS Suite skills including Project, Excel, and Word.

The pay range for this position is $84,060 - $129,580 per year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

A bonus may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and / or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.

Base pay information is based on market location.
