About This Role

Spring internships will range between the months of January and May. Summer internships will range between the months of May and September.

All dates dependent upon the university schedule of the selected students. Internships are full-time and on-site in Los Angeles, CA.

As a part of the HR / Recruiting team you will work on various projects geared toward improving the efficiency and scalability of Varda.

In this role you will assist with various recruitment tasks, such as posting job openings, screening resumes, and scheduling interviews.

You will also support onboarding processes by helping with new hire documentation and orientation preparations. Additionally, the candidate may contribute to HR projects, track employee data, and provide general administrative support to the team.

Internships at Varda are optimal for students looking to grow technically and professionally while working on impactful projects critical to the company's success.

You will be working on a collaborative team in a startup environment while being able to learn from some of most accomplished and experienced aerospace professionals in the world.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in Recruitment Processes : Help post job openings, screen resumes, and coordinate interview schedules.
  • Support Onboarding : Aid in preparing new hire documentation and facilitate orientation sessions.
  • Conduct Research : Gather and analyze data on industry trends, compensation, and employee satisfaction.
  • Handle Administrative Tasks : Manage HR records, update employee databases, and assist with internal communications.
  • Participate in HR Projects : Contribute to initiatives such as employee engagement programs and policy updates.
  • Provide General Support : Offer assistance to HR team members with day-to-day operations and special tasks as needed.

Basic Qualifications

  • Pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree from an accredited college or university in Communications, Marketing, Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or Organizational Behavior.
  • Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Desire to work in a technically complex and fast-moving environment

Preferred Skills And Experience

  • Previous internship or co-op experience
  • General interest in space
