About the Role
In this critical position, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the company's financial operations, with a specific focus on cost accounting, financial reporting, and data analysis.
You will be a strategic partner to leadership, providing valuable insights and operational improvements.
Responsibilities :
- Manage cost accounting processes, ensuring accurate product costing and profitability analysis.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including P&L statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Utilize databases and data manipulation tools to extract and analyze financial information.
- Implement and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) for financial performance measurement.
- Partner with cross-functional departments (HR, Sales, Operations) to optimize financial processes and reporting.
- Oversee the audit process and maintain strong relationships with external auditors.
- Manage vendor relationships related to financial services (e.g., 401k administration, treasury management).
- Lead change management initiatives for financial systems and processes.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent work experience)
- 5+ years of experience in a Controller-level or higher position at a small to medium-sized organization (experience with both large and small organizations a plus)
- Proven experience in cost accounting, financial reporting, and data analysis
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Experience with financial management systems and database tools
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships across departments
- Change management and project management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
