Summary :
The Housekeeper will work first shift to provide staff with a safe, attractive, comfortable, clean and efficient place to work.
The ideal candidate is enthusiastic, energetic, an excellent multi-tasker and passionate about serving others.
They must possess the ability to interact with staff (at all levels) and students in a fast-paced environment, sometimes under pressure, remaining pleasant, flexible, proactive, resourceful and efficient, with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.
Expert level written and verbal communication skills, strong decision-making ability and attention to detail are equally important, and they must work independently with little or no supervision.

Responsibilities
- Promote the mission and standards of Answers in Genesis.
- Create a SERVE culture environment in all work done.

- Prioritize personal integrity in all interactions and assignments.
- Perform general cleaning in the offices to maintain equipment in functional condition for staff, visitors and others as necessary.
- Sweep, mop, wet-wash and vacuum floors, and furniture and clean and polish fixtures and glass on scheduled in assigned areas.
- Scrub, hose down, and disinfect toilet floors daily and clean all sanitary fixtures and drinking fountains daily and during the day when conditions require it.
- Clean rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture and blinds.
- Wash walls, ceilings, woodwork, windows, doors and sills.
- Set up and breakdown for special events as needed.
- Wash, dry and deliver laundry as needed.
- Remove waste and trash from buildings.
- Report immediately to the Director of Facilities & Construction any damage to the headquarters property and remove graffiti.
- Receive deliveries and assist in unloading trucks and stored supplies.
- Deliver supplies and materials to offices, bathrooms and other areas of the building.
- Remain on premises during non-operational hours when attendance is required by the Director of Facilities & Construction.
- Move furniture or equipment within the building as required for various activities as directed by the Director of Facilities & Construction.
- Comply with local laws and procedures for the storage and disposal of trash, rubbish and waste.
- Perform daily cleaning of kitchen including waste and trash removal.
- Shelve all deliveries in appropriate storage dry, refrigerated or frozen.
- Use hand tools of trade and related power equipment, including brooms, mops, floor cleaning and waxing machines, vacuum cleaner and snow blowers.
- Maintain a secure, clean and organized work area.
- Maintain an inventory of supplies and equipment. Order needed materials through the housekeeping and accommodations team at the Creation Museum.
- Participate in all relevant training and staff meetings.
- And all other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.
