The ideal candidate will have a strong background in treasury and accounting processes within the finance industry, particularly in private equity or buy-side roles.
This role involves developing detailed business requirements, creating test cases, and conducting quality assurance testing for the enhancement of custom in-house applications.
The successful candidate will collaborate closely with the AppDev team to streamline business processes and deliver tailored solutions in an agile environment.
Key Responsibilities : Agile Delivery & Training : Manage and groom backlogs based on functional and technical requirements.
Actively engage in daily scrums and manage project backlog.Prepare training documentation in partnership with Finance and IT teams.
Develop and execute a transition plan for long-term application support by IT operations.Assist in technical documentation following company standards.
Business Analysis & Planning : Participate in brainstorming sessions and develop detailed requirement documentation outlining business objectives.
Collaborate with the finance team to define and document user requirements for the target system.Coordinate change requests, ensuring timely updates and approvals.
Contribute to architectural planning sessions, offering insights on functional needs.Quality Assurance : Develop and execute test cases that align with user requirements, particularly for fund accounting and treasury solutions.
Define acceptance criteria in coordination with key finance stakeholders.Manage the complete quality assurance process and secure business sign-offs.
Document test case failures and manage the defect resolution process.Prepare sample data and assist the user community in executing test cases.
Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and assist in solution development based on documented requirements.Required Knowledge and Skills : Background & Training : Bachelor's degree required, with advanced degrees and / or certifications preferred.
Experience in Finance & Accounting System Implementations or in professional services.Experience in the Private Equity (PE) or buy-side finance industry is a strong plus.
Familiarity with INVESTRAN is an advantage.Technical Skills : Experience working with and adopting custom in-house applications.
Proficient in agile software development methodologies and contributing to planning and reporting processes.Ability to integrate usability, user experience, performance, security, and maintainability into software solutions.
Experience with JIRA is a plus.Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other cloud-based productivity tools.Business Analysis & Problem Solving : Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to proactively solve problems, think ahead, and manage multiple tasks.
Experience visualizing solutions based on business requirements to enhance user experience.Skilled at identifying areas for improvement and implementing effective solutions.
