Senior Technical Sales Engineer

Xylem is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Sales Engineer / Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in water treatment systems and a proven track record in sales and estimating.

This role involves working closely with Sales to understand the customer’s needs, developing accurate cost estimates, and providing technical support throughout the sales process.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Sales and Client Engagement :
  • Engaging potential clients needs with information from sales team in need of high purity water solutions.
  • Conduct site visits and assessments to understand client requirements.
  • Present and demonstrate our products and solutions to Sales and Operation.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with Sales team, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Estimating and Proposal Development :
  • Analyze project specifications, blueprints, and other documentation to prepare accurate cost estimates.
  • Collaborate with engineering and procurement teams to gather necessary information for estimates.
  • Prepare detailed proposals and quotations, including cost breakdowns and timelines.
  • Adjust estimates based on changing market conditions and client feedback.
  • Technical Support :
  • Provide technical expertise and support to clients during the sales process.
  • Assist clients in selecting the appropriate water treatment solutions for their needs.
  • Address technical inquiries and resolve any issues that arise during project execution.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in sales and estimating, preferably in the water treatment industry.
  • Strong technical knowledge of high purity water systems and related technologies.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in estimating software and tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel as needed.

Salary range : $81,000.00 - $146,000.00
