Responsibilities*

  • Perform mRNA extraction, cDNA conversion, and qRTPCR.
  • Maintain primary cell cultures and cell lines for experiments.
  • Process clinical samples including tissue dissociation, cell culture, and cryopreservation.
  • Cryosection frozen tissues and perform immunohistochemistry experiments.
  • Conduct in vivo rodent fibrosis and inflammation experiments.
  • Analyze protein expression and cell signaling by western blotting.
  • Collaborate scientifically with colleagues, including training new lab members and supervising / mentoring undergraduate students.
  • Contribute to general lab upkeep.

Required Qualifications*

  • HS Diploma or Associate Degree.
  • 1-3 years experience.
  • Strong writing and communication skills.

Desired Qualifications*

  • BS in Biology or related field of science.
  • Previous experience in rodent handling, histology, immunohistochemistry, cell culture, fluorescence microscopy, qPCR, and western blotting is preferred.

Proficiency in Prism and MS Office.
