Summary : Reporting to the Foundation Board with a dotted line to the Senior VP Marketing & Communications, the Executive Director Foundation provides leadership to develop, direct and execute all activities of the Foundation on behalf of our health system.

The Foundation Executive Director inspires and leads all philanthropic giving for the benefit of the health system and medical center.

The ideal Foundation Executive Director is a strategic and community-minded individual ready to lead our Foundation towards its next stage of innovation and growth in support of the health system and the patients we serve.

The Executive Director is responsible for engaging the Foundation Board of Directors and establishing connections with community stakeholders that advance the key priorities and programs of the hospital system through fundraising support.

The successful candidate will strengthen the relationships between our hospital, foundation, and the community, and collectively deliver on our purpose of Building a Healthier Tomorrow Through Giving.

The incumbent is primarily accountable for the planning, implementation, and operation of the department in order to meet the needs of the organization.

The Executive Director will provide leadership and expertise in the management of the department. Accountable for human resource management, financial management, and quality management for department and programs within the incumbent’s responsibility in support of the mission, vision, and strategic objectives of Yuma Regional Medical Center.

  • Provides vision, forward thinking, and strategic planning in a proactive manner while being open-minded and creative in establishing a strategic direction.
  • Develops through an integration of ideas of those involved, an organized strategy to achieve both short and long term objectives for the department.

Effectively communicates strategy to obtain commitment by the responsible individuals.

  • Demonstrates a personal accountability for financial results through development of an annual budget and operational plan and management of performance based on plan.
  • Engages staff in efforts to contain costs and improve the efficiency and cost-effectiveness of services. Understands the basics of health care financial management.

Education : Essential :

BACHELOR'S DEGREE

Other information :

  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred
  • Minimum of seven years of increasingly responsible fundraising experience, preferably in a healthcare setting
  • Certification or CFRE preferred
  • Valid driver’s license with regular access to a vehicle required
