SUBFUNCTION DEFINITION : To develop, issue / review and negotiate basic to complex agreements and contracts; to develop, negotiate and coordinate budgets in accordance with policy and federal laws and regulations;
to identify, resolve or mitigate regulatory compliance, financial, legal, intellectual property and other risks; to advise, support, guide and provide consultation on specific contract provisions
REPRESENTATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES
Professional Development
Seasoned, experienced professional with a full understanding of area of specialization
Contract compliance
Assist stakeholders and business operations staff in developing agreements that comply with CCHMC policies and regulations (e.
g. HIPAA, FDA, HSRP, export compliance, etc.), and apply those frameworks into contracting.
Contract Negotiaton
Negotiate, draft, and process various types of contracts with public and private entities. Responsible for various types of funding agreements with different sponsors (i.
e., government federal and state, foundation, and industry). Responsible for agreements to support collaborations, including multi-site projects, such as data and materials transfer agreements, collaboration agreements
Resource / Professional Development
Act as a resource for stakeholders regarding contracts / budgets. Serve as an informational and referral resource for the community.
Maintain currency in field through cross training, continuing education, literature and seminars and implement this knowledge into the department.
Qualifications
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
Required :
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- 5 - 7 years of work experience in a related job discipline.
- or equivalent combination of education and experience
Preferred :
Experience in stakeholder management across various departments in an organization
