Responsibilities

As an Aftermarket Sales Representative , you'll be responsible for actively driving and managing the aftermarket stage of the sales process.

You'll work in collaboration with our Territory Sales Representatives and Service Support staff to ensure the utmost job satisfaction, and most importantly, win business for our aftermarket offerings.

Your role will encompass a range of exciting responsibilities, including :

  • Leading efforts to maintain and grow business for aftermarket products and services within your assigned territory and with designated customers.
  • Generating requests for aftermarket parts, products, planned maintenance programs, and service quotes.
  • Visiting customers to forge relationships, identify opportunities, survey equipment to determine needs, and transition install customers to service and preventative maintenance customers.
  • Preparing and delivering quotes for aftermarket products and services, meticulously assessing job needs, gathering inputs and costs, calculating pricing using established margin guidelines, entering and presenting quotes, following up, and ultimately wining the order.

Qualifications

To excel in this role , you should have :

  • A minimum of three or more years of B2B sales experience.
  • Exceptional customer focus, with the ability to work under pressure and meet customer needs proactively.
  • Strong verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills, along with the motivation and drive to secure the sale.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple project simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply computer technology and software in day-to-day tasks.
  • Hold a valid driver's license and maintain a clean driving record.

Compensation

Compensation for this role is commission-based with a draw. Base draws are determined by evaluating the candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Opportunities exist for a more significant earning potential based on sales.

PHYSICAL AND MENTAL DEMANDS :

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, stand, walk, drive, talk, and hear. In addition, the employee is frequently required to use hands to write documents, operate a computer, and perform similar office tasks.

The employee is required to be mobile within the RDD office and warehouse and at customer locations. The employee must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds when carrying product samples, demonstration kits, office files, packages, parts, etc.

The employee is occasionally required to climb stairs and ladders. Specific vision abilities required by this job include ability to drive, ability to view computer screens and documents, and the ability to adjust focus.

Protective Clothing Required : Closed toed shoes required. Safety glasses and steel toed shoes required when / if working in warehouse or field.

Hardhat, ear protection, and other job site specific PPE might be required.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT :

Work is occasionally performed in an office and warehouse environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Frequent travel via car is required in order to visit customer job sites and make sales presentations. The noise level at customer job sites varies from moderate to loud depending on the nature of their business.
