Our client is a fast-growing international raw ingredients developer seeking a raw materials Chemist to help explore novel ingredients development and application.
Salary / Hourly Rate :
$80k $90k Depending on experience
Position Overview :
The successful Chemist will use knowledge of raw ingredients, a creative mindset, and a good understanding of the beauty and personal care products businesses to help product development on the company’s portfolio products.
They will evaluate market trends and competitive products in the personal care, fine fragrance, beauty / cosmetics, air care, and home care product segments.
Responsibilities of the Chemist :
- Evaluate existing products and explore new products from concept ideation to commercialization.
- Assess different applications in the product development process.
- Recommend new ingredients and test on application results.
- Maintain ingredients inventory and ensure ingredients safety in product applications.
- Assist in customer projects in specifications fulfillment and presentations.
- Assist in other projects as assigned.
Qualifications for the Chemist :
- Experience in regulated labs ideally from raw materials applications.
- Experience and knowledge in exploring new raw ingredients applicable in personal care, fine fragrance, beauty / cosmetics, air care, and home care product segments.
- Experience in material evaluation skills GC, color testing, odor testing, etc.
- Ability to communicate across different functional groups.
- Good organizational and computer skills.
Education Requirements :
Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or related disciplines.
