This role provides vital SAP knowledge and analytical support to the Mobile site Technical Services Department and the North America Region.
Expertise in general Evonik IT support and auditing is leveraged to support Technical Services. This role performs these support services to a high quality and safety standard.
Travel to support other Evonik sites in the North America Region will be required, up to 15%.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Possess, acquire, and maintain in-depth technical knowledge in Evonik SAP Plant Maintenance (PM), Materials Management (MM), and Project Systems (PS) modules.
- Develop and deliver practical training in SAP modules (PM, MM, PS) and the Evonik Maintenance work process for North America sites.
- Acquire and maintain systems knowledge in platforms such as PowerBI, EPIC, InvoiceTrack SAP Fieldglass, and SAP Ariba to facilitate adoption & migration.
- Create maintenance systems, including technical objects, task lists, maintenance plans, etc. & coordinate a team of full / part-time data entry personnel at times of peak workload.
- Act as SAP system administrator for Mobile Technical Services, and SAP role approver for the Mobile, AL site.
- Facilitate North American Plant compliance with Evonik Standards.
- Possess a basic understanding of Mechanical Integrity, Risk Based Maitnenance, and other relevant strategies.
- Understand basic technical plant documentation.
- Resolve workflow problems and SAP problems by troubleshooting and coordinating with IT
- Support other Technical Services departments as required.
- Identify, train and maintain a network of SAP PowerUsers in the Plant Maintenance module for the North America Region
- Support SAP restructure & PM Optimzation efforts at North America plants.
- Assist with the implementation of digitalization efforts including mobile SAP applications.
REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma (or GED equivalent)
- Knowledge and skills in SAP Plant Maintenance module is required. Experience with other modules is preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills, and shall possess the ability to effectively manage time and meet all required deadlines.
- The candidate shall have the ability to use common software systems such as Microsoft Office (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)
