Vacancies will be filled in the following specialty areas :

• Independent Office of Appeals
• Case and Operations Support
• Specialized Exam Prog and Ref
• Collection Appeals
• Examination Appeals

The following are the duties of this position at the full working level :

• Holds conferences and negotiates issues with taxpayers / representatives to resolve tax disputes in a fair and impartial manner.
• Advises and coaches team members regarding their team assignments.
• Communicates and fosters dialogue with peers, customers, and partners.

Qualifications

Federal experience is not required. You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement :

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE : GS-07 :

You must have at least one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-05 grade level in the Federal service.

One year of graduate education in a related field of study.

Superior Academic Achievement may be met by having a Bachelor's degree with a GPA of 3.0 or higher.

Education

For positions with an education requirement, submit a copy of your transcripts or equivalent.

• A 1-year probationary period is required.
