We are looking for a dedicated Behavioral Health Outpatient Coordinator like you to be a part of our team.
Job Summary and Qualifications
The Behavioral Health Outpatient Coordinator works in sync with the behavioral health team to :
- Provide leadership to the OP staff
- Develop and deliver high quality and culturally-competent therapeutic behavioral health programs
- Coordinate daily operations of outpatient program(s)
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory agencies
- Protect Personal Health Information (PHI) consistent with company policies
- Maintain a safe milieu and adhere to company safety policies
- Develop and implement business development strategies including outreach activities
- Adhere to deadlines for reports, special projects, and initiatives

- Ensure prescribed targets are met, such as average daily census, reconciliations, and core measures
- Delivers group, individual and family counseling as indicated in treatment plans
- Works closely with the inpatient unit on continuum of care and step down from IP to OP
- Maintains relationships with other service lines to identify appropriate referrals to OP services
- Coordinates admission and intake assessments in cooperation with the Access Response Center (ARC)
- Works with Patient Account Services (PAS) and Revenue Integrity to ensure adherence to company policies and timely billing of accounts
- Acts as liaison to internal and external partners / stakeholders
- Follows the Social Work Code of Ethics
- Identifies and documents patient / family / SO education in collaboration with other disciplines and implements initial and ongoing education relevant to those needs.
- Ensures that patients / families / SO are educated thoroughly in regard to rights, Baker Act laws and continuing care.
- Functions as a preceptor and / or teaches others as assigned within the Department / facility.
- Provides social workers with a supportive, dynamic, stimulating environment in which to develop their social work / clinical skills and fosters teamwork.
- Provides in-service education experiences to Hospital and social work staff.
- Functions as an administrative supervisor as assigned within the department / facility.
What qualifications you will need :
- Masters Degree in Social Work or related field
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) required
- 3-5 year of experience
- Able to conduct individual, group and marital therapy
- Supervisory experience preferred
