Assistant Manager - Evening

JOB PURPOSE : The basic function of the Evening Assistant Operations Manager is to oversee the cleaning technicians to ensure that the agreed-upon service schedules and scope of work are maintained with optimum efficiency, safety, profit, and client service on all projects.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Support Operations Manager with scheduling, work authorization, time goal management, and customer service.
  • Report disciplinary issues promptly and conduct account inspections.
  • Manage documentation, including paperwork and account inspection notes.
  • Handle staff management tasks such as filling in for absent employees, organizing labor, and conducting performance reviews.
  • Recruit and train new employees, learn specialty cleaning tasks, and communicate effectively with the manager and cleaning technicians.
  • Collaborate on strategies for new accounts
  • Promote health, safety, and PPE compliance for technicians
  • Set up new accounts efficiently and ensure completion of all checklists and sign-off sheets.
  • Identify upsell opportunities in the field.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education :

Preferred : High School graduate

Experience :

  • Minimum of 1 year as Certified Cleaning Supervisor
  • Minimum of 2 years of commercial cleaning or related cleaning experience

License and Certification :

  • OSHA 10 Certification
  • OSHA 30 Certification
  • ISSA Basic and Advanced Certification
  • Daigle Leadership Academy

Knowledge & Skills :

  • Excellent written and oral communications skills, including :
  • Working knowledge of Spanish is desirable, but not required.
  • Using analytical and observational skills, which show an ability to work unsupervised, supervise others, follow company policy, interact with employees and clients, and schedule work in stressful situations.

Working conditions :

  • Fast-paced environment requiring flexibility, adaptability and resilience in a wide variety of work situations.
  • Customer service may include interacting with challenging clients and tight deadlines.
  • General office environment, with low to medium noise, low to medium heat and cold, and low to medium dust levels.
  • May be exposed to high dust, heat and noise levels when visiting field job sites and / or client locations.
  • Occasional emergency calls after hours, holidays and on weekends.

Physical requirements :

  • Body Positions : Standing, sitting
  • Body Movements : Walking, stooping, bending
  • Sensory Abilities : Sighted, voiced, and hearing. Close, color, and peripheral vision with ability to adjust eye focus.
  • Lifting : Low up to 20 lbs.
