As a Business Intelligence Analyst, you will support the analytics team through thoughtful gathering, organizing, and analysis of data, and conveying the data in ways that clearly communicate their impact.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Review data and produce reports that impact financial and market intelligence decisions
- Conducts primary and secondary research as directed
- Populate and maintain dashboards and reports that will describe past performance and provide insights future actions
- Populate and maintain dashboards and reports that internal stakeholders and external clients rely on the make the decisions that produce the best business outcomes
- Benchmark display metrics and user interaction with an eye toward providing users with valuable and exceptional experiences
- Work collaboratively with other members of the Analytics team
- Make suggestions on how to APCO’s business to improve the experience for consumers, partners, and associates
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or related field of study or commensurate work experience.
- Experience in market research, business intelligence or a related field highly desired
Skills
A BI Analyst’s job is to extract and provide the organizational value from data. The following lists common skills and abilities :
- Problem Solving ability to work through problems methodically to arrive at optimal solutions.
- Programming Skills knowledge of scripting languages like JavaScript and Python as well as database query languages like SQL, Hive, and Pig.
- Information Architecture not every data point is valuable and attention spans are limited. Knowledge of how to structure data that caters to human psychology is valuable.
- Communication ability to effectively communicate highly complicated, technical, and detailed findings to end users in all areas of our business.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to type and look at a computer screen for long periods of the day.
The employee must be able to sit for long periods of time.
