If you are a junior associate looking for a firm where you can put down roots and build your practice, then look no further! Latitude is seeking a Junior Civil Litigation Attorney for a permanent position with a growing regional defense firm.
Interested lawyers should have at least 1-5 years of civil litigation experience in general liability matters, preferably handling premises liability, trucking, and commercial automobile claims.
Excellent written and oral advocacy skills are a must. Candidates must be licensed and in good standing in New York. This is a fully remote position.
Responsibilities of the NY Junior Litigation Attorney :
- Drafting pleadings, motions, memoranda of law, discovery requests and responses, and legal correspondence
- Handle all aspects of discovery
- Efficiently and competently research legal issues
- Communicate clearly both orally and in writing to colleagues and clients
Requirements for the NY Junior Litigation Attorney :
- 1-5 years of civil litigation experience in general liability matters
- Licensed to practice and in good standing in New York
- J.D. from an accredited law school and excellent academic credentials
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, professional law firm setting
- Excellent written and oral advocacy skills
- Outstanding references

Compensation
Pay : The salary range for this role is $80,000 to $110,000 or more. This position is also eligible for bonuses. Pay is based on multiple factors including but not limited to work experience, qualifications, credentials, and location.

401(k) and generous leave policies.
