The Entry Level Events Assistant will work closely with the events team to ensure the successful delivery of corporate events, meetings, and other company functions.
This position involves both administrative tasks and hands-on assistance during event execution.
Responsibilities
- Event Coordination Support : Assist in organizing company events, including meetings, conferences, product launches, and team-building activities.
- Logistical Support : Help with event logistics, such as booking venues, arranging catering, and coordinating event schedules.
- Vendor Coordination : Communicate with vendors, suppliers, and contractors to ensure all materials and services are delivered on time.
- Setup and Breakdown : Assist with the setup, running, and breakdown of events, ensuring smooth execution and a professional environment.
- Administrative Support : Maintain event calendars, track RSVPs, prepare event materials, and provide general administrative support to the events team.
- Marketing Assistance : Help promote events internally and externally, coordinating invitations, email campaigns, and reminders.
- Event Monitoring : Ensure all aspects of the event run smoothly and address any issues that arise during the event.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (an associate or bachelor's degree in event management, hospitality, or a related field is a plus).
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle last-minute changes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
- Flexibility to work extended hours, including evenings and weekends, when required.
