Job Title : Sr. Data Analyst
Location : Deerfield Beach (Hybrid - First 3 weeks in-office Monday to Thursday, then 3 days a week in-office)
Job Summary : The Sr. Data Analyst will be responsible for understanding the relationships between data that support business processes and applications.
The ideal candidate must possess strong technical and interpersonal skills to analyze, profile, and document data. They will be responsible for extracting, retrieving, and interpreting data to identify and resolve anomalies while effectively communicating technical findings to both business and technical stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop an understanding of how data supports business processes and applications.
- Profile data to analyze and interpret technical code and identify anomalies.
- Collaborate with business and IT to understand business processes and the flow of data across systems.
- Document data mappings and lineage in knowledge repositories.
- Extract, retrieve, and analyze data independently using tools such as DBVisualizer and Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio.
- Communicate technical findings and insights clearly to non-technical business users.
- Research and understand complex data sources across different environments.
- Maintain and manage documentation of business and technical findings.
Required Skills and Experience :
- Strong proficiency in reading and writing SQL.
- Experience with tools like DBVisualizer and Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio.
- Ability to analyze and profile data.
- Interpersonal skills to bridge communication between business and technical teams.
- Strong documentation skills for both technical and business-level information.
- Ability to interpret technical code and relay information effectively to business users.
Preferred Skills :
- Experience with environments such as Mainframe, Teradata, Azure, CosmosDB, SQL Server, DB2, and AWS.
- Knowledge of Informatica, SAS, and Mainframe is a plus.
Work Environment :
Hybrid schedule, with the first 3 weeks in the Deerfield Beach office Monday to Thursday, then 3 days a week in-office.
Flexibility to be in the office more as needed.
