The Davenport facility has approximately 900 employees and is a leader in the design, development, manufacture and delivery of Aerospace life support and safety systems components and services to the global aftermarket and OEM markets.
The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for leading cost-out events and promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
The expected annual salary range for this role is $62250.03 - $95700.0 a year.

What you’ll do :
- Lead cost-out events and promote a culture of continuous improvement.
- Apply Lean-Manufacturing and 6-Sigma Techniques to eliminate waste, reduce process variation and to deliver products that meet customer expectations.
- Participate in concurrent engineering efforts and critical design reviews to minimize product development costs and maximize useful life of products.
- Conduct Design for Manufacturing and value engineering initiatives as applicable.
- Develop work breakdown structures as a tool to develop cost estimates and to identify opportunities for cost reduction.
- Participate in new product development projects using program management tools to articulate deliverables and maintain schedules.
- Develop and integrates new processes and methodologies as to provide competitive advantages for the business.
- Compose Capital Appropriation Requests (including payback and net present value analysis) for acquisition of equipment to support emerging and existing technologies.
Qualifications :
Required (Basic) Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited institution.
- Minimum 6 months of electrical troubleshooting experience.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship, now or in the future.
- This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).

Preferred Qualifications :
- Minimum of three (3) months of internship or co-op experience in engineering or manufacturing.
- Experience with Lean / 6-Sigma / Continuous Improvement.
- Six Sigma Green Belt certification.
- Electrical Engineering experience.
- Product life cycle management experience.
- AS9100 / TS16949 experience.
- Precision machining experience.
