Our client is celebrating over 35 years of success and continual growth, and they are currently seeking a dynamic, results-oriented Civil Engineering professional - Office Executive to grow our client's brand within Charlotte and the surrounding region.
Leading a team of department managers / leads, project managers, technical engineers, technicians, and support staff within the Cornelius office, this position will report to the Regional Executive, Piedmont Carolinas and be fully supported with established technical resources.

Our client is a multi-discipline engineering design and consulting firm providing our clients with civil engineering, surveying, planning / landscape architecture, geosciences, environmental, subsurface utility engineering, and construction engineering inspection.
Through years of dedicated service to their clients, our awesome client has received a designation of 194 on the 2024 ENR Top 500 Design Firm rankings.
For their primary territory, the ENR Southeast Top Design Firms, ESP received a 2024 ranking of 30.
As a Leader, you will :
- Develop and foster client relationships to grow our client's presence in Charlotte and the Piedmont Carolinas region.
- Conduct market research to target growth and the diversification of services and clients at the office.
- Lead the initiative to grow the opportunities pipeline through the adoption of our client's CRM and client managers.
- Collaborate with and support other team members disciplines and service lines.
- Lead the practice to set and achieve profitability and growth goals.
- Ensure quality service, consulting, and deliverables in a timely and efficient manner.
- Prepare / review project contracts, invoices, and financial reports.
- Take ownership of the office’s overall performance (P&L), high-level client interaction, and technical review
- Instill / foster an environment of enjoyment in our working conditions.
- Establish contacts and connections within the Charlotte market and / or surrounding region.
- Drive to create collaborative relationships with clients, teaming partners, managers, and in-house multi-disciplinary teams.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Landscape Architecture, or equivalent
- PE licensure in NC (or ability to obtain PE within 3 months of hire), PLA / RLA, or AICP.
- Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills to effectively and professionally interact with team members, clients, governmental review authorities, government officials, and the public.
- Demonstrated expertise adjusting to priorities and demands from multiple clients and projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven, multi-disciplinary environment.
- Firm understanding of risk management and loss prevention.
- Superior organizational and planning skills with keen attention to detail
- Intermediate to advanced computer skills (MS Office, Teams, SharePoint, and relevant technical software) required.
- Must be able to pass a drug screen, background check, and have a satisfactory driving record in accordance with the company’s driving (MVR) policy.
