Position Summary
Washburn University's Music department is inviting applications for Adjunct Music / Applied String Bass.
Essential Functions :
- Teach assigned courses which may include, but are not limited to : Applied String Bass, Applied Jazz Lessons, Performance Class, or courses within candidate’s expertise
- Perform in Faculty Jazz Quartet
- Recruit students and maintain a public profile as a performer and teacher
- Assist with the Washburn University Coleman Hawkins Summer Jazz Camp and Jazz Festival
Required Qualifications :
Master's degree or higher in Music.
Professional performance experience in both Classical and Jazz. Classroom teaching experience.
The selected candidate will have a demonstrated commitment to pursuing teaching excellence at Washburn University, including a dedication to developing inclusive teaching practices that engage students from diverse backgrounds.
