The Role

BuzzFeed is looking for a Branded Senior Creative Producer, PeroLike with a focus on the PeroLike and Complex brands to join the Creative team in Los Angeles and help pitch, write, and direct branded content for our audience.

Reporting to our Branded Executive Producer, this content-creation role will require collaboration with the wider team to develop BuzzFeed, PeroLike and Complex content for advertising partners.

You Will

• Write pitches, treatments, and scripts for exciting and shareable branded BuzzFeed videos. We’re talking about stuff like and .
• Pitch and create branded PeroLike, Complex and / or BuzzFeed posts / quizzes, short-form content, long form content, and Instagram / TikTok stories.
• Provide guidance and seek input on branded programs through the lens of Latine cultures and points of view.
• Collaborate with a Creative Director on each program to determine the best ideas and products to pitch to a brand.
• Contribute to creative meetings and brainstorm sessions, thinking creatively about fresh new formats and products.
• Build relationships with the PeroLike and Complex editorial teams and stay close to what is trending and popular on social media and the culture at large.
• Pitch ideas, both internally and directly to clients this could include writing a formal pitch or verbally bringing your idea to life in an in-person meeting alongside your Creative Director.
• Collaborate with our Sales and Client Service Management teams to ensure the brand’s needs are met.
• Juggle projects across multiple teams, providing exceptional work every time.

Working on BuzzFeed Inc’s Branded Team means you will write and produce a lot of content across multiple topics from food, fashion, and culture to comedy, music, and travel but we are particularly interested in people who love a good challenge.

We partner with a lot of big clients, and we need someone who can speak to their specific needs while also creating amazing content.

You Have

• 5-6 years of experience writing and producing content online and are comfortable creating content for the BuzzFeed and Complex audiences.
• Experience collaborating on identity-specific projects
• A strong drive and ability to make content independently, as well as a willingness to learn new skills with video production.
• Experience making engaging content for millennials and Gen Z.
• A reel available for writing and / or directing that includes multiple digital platforms and formats
• The ability to be an adaptable team player, who can keep up with the demands of ever-changing media and our ever-evolving slate of products (video, Instagram, TikTok, listicles, quizzes )
• An interest in and deep knowledge of internet culture especially as it relates to Latine audiences, including experience producing work for a variety of platforms and social networks.
• Spanish fluency is preferred for this position, but not required.
