Warehouse Operations Manager, Rincon, GA
Summary of Role :
Day to day management of a Serena and Lily new multi-shift Distribution Center in Rincon, GA using the following core values :

- Lead from the front. A to Z warehousing : safe work practices, work planning, team assignment, training programs, basic flow of goods, performance measurement, plus every operation or activity.

Duties and Responsibilities :
- Recruits, hires, and trains new warehouse employees. Coaches, counsels, schedules and disciplines current warehouse employees as needed by enforcing policies and procedures.
- Prepares and implements production and quality plans based around customer service standards. Resolves problems and identifies trends.
- Forecasts requirements, prepares data for inclusion into annual budgets, schedules expenditures, analyzes variances and initiates corrective actions in order to meet financial objectives of the warehouse.
- Determines product handling and storage requirements to develop warehouse operations systems. Develops, implements, evaluates, and enforces policies and procedures.
Develops processes for receiving product, utilizing equipment, managing inventory and shipping product.
- Develops and implements effective warehouse layout that accounts for product flow, equipment, and product handling systems.
- Forklift experience desired
- Establishes, follows, and enforces safety standards and procedures in compliance with a healthy work environment and legal requirements.
- Develops protection and access policies and coordinates security patrols to keep the property secure.
- Participates in ongoing education to update job knowledge.
- Manage receiving / shipping activity to ensure on time dispatch / delivery, reduce out of stocks, warehouse damage, releasing carrier equipment to avoid detention.
- Manage inventory processing, to ensure product availability for timely customer shipments and ensure compliance with the organizations lead time goals.
- Create and manage solutions for inventory capacity problems.
- Adhere to and ensure compliance with all Company procedures / policies. This includes remaining in compliance with Federal and State regulations applicable to a warehouse environment.
- Work in concert with the peers and leadership in support departments to ensure daily processes meet the needs of the business.
- Develop daily labor and cross training to ensure teams are fully trained to cover volume peaks.
- Be flexible to changes in shift, workdays and duties. Be trained to cover warehouse function is shipping, receiving, returns and inventory control.

- Lead and organize effective Safety Meetings, Facility Performance Reviews, and problem-solving activities within assigned functions.
Required Skills :
- Management of a multi-shift operation with greater than 50 employees.
- Bachelors Degree or 10+ years increasingly complex experience as Warehouse Supervisor or Manager or equivalent combination.
- Minimum of 5 years of Transportation / dispatch experience.
- Minimum of 5 years managing a cross-dock operation.
- Working knowledge and use of a Warehouse Management System.
- Certification in Six Sigma or other continuous improvement certification program is required.
Essential Job Requirements :
- Ability to follow complex written and / or verbal instructions.
- Ability to effectively communicate simple written or verbal instructions to associates.
- Proficient in the MS Office Suite of business applications.
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs. and to make use of appropriate warehouse material handling equipment, as necessary.
- Excellent written and spoken English skills.
- Forklift experience desired, ability to become certified on material handling equipment a must.
- Ability to use MS PowerPoint for presentation to leadership and team members.
- Ability to document Standard Operating Procedures for areas under your leadership team.
- Creation of quarterly evaluations to guide the development of subordinate team members.
- Ability to travel and train in the Vacaville, CA distribution center as required.
