Join Us as a Client Portfolio Manager

We are seeking a Client Portfolio Manager to join our Investment Research Group (IRG), the centralized investment team within our Multi-Family Office (MFO) business.

This team is responsible for asset allocation, portfolio construction, manager selection and monitoring, risk management, and other investment-related decisions for our clients.

Currently, IRG oversees an asset base exceeding $56 billion invested across more than 25 internal and external investment strategies.

To support our mission of delivering investment excellence and inspiring client confidence, we recently launched the Client Portfolio Management & Strategy (CPMS) team, tasked with communicating our best investment insights to client teams and clients.

This newly created Client Portfolio Manager position reports directly to the Head of CPMS. The CPMS team collaborates closely with the Investment Research Team to remain informed about investment managers and portfolio strategies, as well as with Relationship Managers to ensure client portfolios reflect our best thinking while aligning with individual client goals.

The Investment Operations & Analytics Team also plays a key role in executing IRG decisions, including manager onboarding and technology implementation.

As a Client Portfolio Manager, you will represent our multi-asset class investment portfolios to clients and prospects. You will engage directly with existing and prospective clients to discuss our investment strategies and overall portfolio approach.

This role involves performing ad-hoc investment analyses as requested by clients and collaborating with Relationship Managers on clients’ asset allocation and portfolio construction.

Your responsibilities will include preparing and presenting portfolio proposals and reviews, providing updates on individual investment manager strategies, and contributing to written content while responding to investment inquiries.

The ideal candidate will have experience discussing portfolios with clients across various asset classes. Strong skills in synthesizing research findings, investment writing, and creative presentation content are essential.

Investment materials produced by CPMS may cover macroeconomics, investment themes, portfolio composition, performance characteristics, and rationale for holdings at both investment manager and portfolio levels.

Staying current on market trends and developments with investment managers is crucial.

While headquartered in New York City, the CPMS team engages with our U.S. offices, including Boston, Charlotte, Chicago, Houston, Nashville, and Philadelphia.

We welcome applications from candidates interested in any of these locations, with periodic travel to other offices and the IRG team in New York City as needed.
