Hardwood Sales Associate
Maley & Wertz is a family-owned sawmill and kiln drying operation located in Evansville, Indiana. We are currently seeking a candidate to fill an open position with our sales team as a sales associate.
Position Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Excellent communication, problem solving and presentation skills
- Desire to work in a customer-centric sales role
- Ability to upsell
- Excellent customer service skills and strong telephone presence
- Good organizational and time management skills
- Good computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite a plus)
- Sense of urgency
- Positive, proactive and energetic attitude
- Team player who works productively with wide range of people
- Problem-solving and analytical ability
Duties will include, but not be limited to the following :
While working closely with senior sales representatives and direct Sales Manager :
- Actively manage and grow a dedicated sales territory that includes a pre-existing customer base
- Understand each customer's needs to provide real, effective solutions
- Deliver exceptional service
- Generate detailed, professional quotes
- Develop leads and prospect new business opportunities using a variety of sources
- Process orders in a timely manner and exhibit thorough follow-up
- Work to continually advance and improve knowledge of product and industry trends
