Position Overview : Soliant Education is excited to announce multiple full-time openings for Special Education Teachers in the Portland, Oregon area.
We are looking for dedicated and passionate educators to join our team and provide exceptional support to students across various educational levels.
The available positions cater to diverse special education needs, from elementary to high school.
Available Positions :
Elementary Level :
- Autism / Social Communication
- Behavior / Social-Emotional
- Resource / Learning Center (0.5 FTE)
Middle School Level :
Behavior / Social-Emotional
High School Level :
Functional / Life Skills (2 positions)
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's needs
- Provide specialized instruction and support to students in designated areas
- Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and other staff to support student success
- Monitor and document student progress and adjust teaching strategies as necessary
- Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment
Qualifications :
- Valid teaching certification in special education
- Experience working with students in the specified areas preferred
- Strong understanding of special education laws and best practices
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of diverse learners
