JOB DESCRIPTION Position : Safety & Workers’ Comp Coordinator
Reports To : Safety & Workers’ Comp Managers
Status : Non-Exempt
Salary : $45,000-$5,000 DOE
Location : Fresno, CA

Responsibilities & Key Duties :
- Provide injury response support and guidance to PrideStaff field offices
- Complete intake, reporting, and setup of new workers’ compensation claims
- Identify return-to-work opportunities and collaborate with PrideStaff field offices to offer modified duty where appropriate
- Assist with accident and incident investigations, determining probable causes and making recommendations for corrective action
- As directed by department leaders, provide guidance to Strategic-Partners and their clients on OSHA compliance and best practices under the OSHA temporary worker initiative
- Support the Safety Manager in the administration of PrideStaff’s safety and health programs and compliance with DOL / OSHA regulations
- Support the Safety Specialist and Safety Coordinator in the approval of new PrideStaff, Inc. clients and new positions in accordance with PrideStaff safety standards, to include : Assignment of appropriate workers’ compensation class codes and ratesEvaluation and assessment of client sites through review of Client Safety SurveysEscalation of high risk-placements for review and approval Monitoring compliance with other risk management policies related to temporary worker assignments and job duties
- Provide administrative & project support for department

Required Education & Experience :
- Experience with Google Suite and virtual communication platforms
- Some college or professional education beyond high school
Preferred Skills & Qualifications :
- Basic knowledge of workers’ compensation laws and medical terminology
- Basic knowledge of OSHA regulations
- Staffing industry experience a huge plus
- Bachelor’s degree
- Workers’ compensation certification (WCCA or similar)
- Safety or OSHA certification
