General Labor / Insulation Specialist - 1st Shift

We encourage personal growth and offer career advancement to individuals who demonstrate initiative.Position Summary : The primary responsibilities of General Labor positions are split between the insulating and crating processes during the final assembly of CDI's product.

Each task must be completed with safety, accuracy & timeliness in the insulating & crating area. Principal Duties and Responsibilities : Accurately measure the interior dimensions the finished shell of the product Install insulation material, lifting lugs, foil tape, & applicable labels to CDI's specificationsOperate glue guns, drill, sprayer, and pinspotter to complete assigned tasks.

Review and clean welds and apply cold galvanizing spray paint to CDI's specifications.Track and log work via computer / tablet and send the product to the next step.

Accurately measure finished product to determine critical dimensions & weights. Through use of various power tools cut lumber to correct measurements for cratingConstruction shipping crate through use of pneumatic nail guns and various power toolsPrepare units for shipping.

Load completed product on trucks in line with the carrier, DOT and CDI's requirements.Effectively communicate with supervisors & other production staff to coordinate work schedules.

must be at least 18 years old.Basic understanding of blueprints and designs.Outstanding attention to detail, ability to multitask, strong time management skills.

Ability to safely use various measuring tools & various other hand, power, & pneumatic tools. Knowledge or willingness to learn how to cross-train in other production departments.

Ability to understand work orders and job schedules.Must be willing to undergo a pre-employment drug test.Must be able to effectively read, write and speak the English language.

Ability to stand or walk for extended amounts of time.Ability to frequently bend, twist, grip, squat and lift.Ability to lift 50 pounds frequently & lift 70 pounds occasionally.
