00 to $30.00 an hour FLSA Job Summary / Basic Function
- To carry out assigned activities, operations and programs within the police department including routine foot patrol, traffic control, crime prevention and events.
- Primary and principle duties also consist of the prevention and detection of crime and the enforcement of criminal statutes or ordinances of the state or any of its political subdivisions.
This is a pooled position. Applicants are selected from the pool as positions become available. After a period of time the pool will expire and applicants will be notified. Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Valid Utah Driver License.
- Utah Peace Officer Standards and Training (P.O.S.T) SFO State Certification(Active Status).
- Work a minimum of 20 hours every 6 months
- Letter of good standing with current employer
- Good verbal and written communication skills. Ability to use word processing software required
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate Degree
- Utah Peace Officer Standards and Training (P.O.S.T) LEO State Certification (Active Status)
- Currently employed full time as a Law Enforcement Officer
- Experience working large crowd events and traffic control
