- Worksite Location : St. Cloud, MN
- Compensation : $60,000 annually
What you’ll do as a Staff Accountant :
- Process and apply eCommerce (eBay, etc.) payments via PayPal and QuickBooks
- Full Cycle Accounts Payable Vendor Invoices, Industrials (Client) Invoices, Credit Card Statements
- Assist with Accounts Receivable, such as entering daily cash receipts
- Summarize current financial status and prepare daily reporting activities to management including; Key Indicator Reports, banking reconciliation, and sales register
- Prepare financial statements and reports
- Track, prep, and process quarterly Minnesota State Tax reports
- Support month-end and year-end close process, reporting, and reconciliation
- Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
- Reconcile financial or inventory discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information
- Produce error-free accounting reports and present their results
- Track and update various logs and spreadsheets
What you’ll bring to the Staff Accountant role :
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field of study
- 2+ years of work experience in accounting, finance, or other related field of work
- Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures and principals
- Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end / year-end close process
- Excellent accuracy and attention to detail
- Aptitude for numbers and quantitative skills
- Intermediate understanding of accounting and reporting standards, gaining experience in researching as it related to accounting issues
- Experienced in understanding and applying accounting principles
- Experience with Microsoft Office products (Excel is a must, Access is a plus!)
