The Marketing Project & Events Coordinator plays a pivotal role in supporting the Marketing Operations tasks. The role is required to develop the increasing need for organizational project management, particularly in the areas of creative services, trafficking and platform adoption.
A top 100 retailer is looking for an efficient and detail-oriented Marketing Project & Events Coordinator to join our expanding team and help meet our marketing goals.
Our company has maintained growth year after year and currently employs over 1500 people.
The ideal candidate will be a good writer, a good communicator and be extremely well-organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
Ability to work with Word, Excel, PowerPoint and other business software tools. 1-3 years hands-on experience with event coordination preferred.
There will be moderate travel required to our in-person events. Work independently but understanding team work makes the dream work.
Key responsibilities :
- Serves as a contact for events, assisting in the development and execution of events.
- Attend events to assist with facilitation of operations and respond to emergencies, problems, etc.; ensure all aspects of events are implemented and controlled according to plans.
Event set-up and take down may be required.
- Establishes and monitors project requirements, priorities, and deadlines.
- Maintain event calendars, updating as necessary
- Ensure all elements of events are thoroughly communicated across all pertinent departments
- Manages projects from inception to completion.
- Assist in the development of the operational plan for each event and create complete and accurate production notes based on advance material and distribute to all staff
- Assist and coordinate all aspects of event planning, event management, and event execution
- Monitor and review company webpages to identify updates needed, potential issues and opportunities
- Spearheading creation of promotional documents for the organization including internal and external communication
- Build and maintain relationships with outside vendors
- Represent organization positively with high level of professionalism at all times.
- Assist with creating copy, edit and proof email and website projects
- Assists with direct mail, advertising, and catalog editing and proofreading
- Review / audit the website (and app) for accuracy, make copy updates
- Assist with social media efforts and orders
- Other duties may be assigned as needed, including supporting Director of Marketing
- Serve as a liaison between departments, facilitating effective communication and collaboration as needed.
- Provide administration aid to the department.
- Special projects as needed.
