Description
The Marketing and Content Coordinator serves as a cross-team / cross-functional member of the office, and will directly report to the Senior Associate Director of Student Programs & Communication.
Duties will include, but are not limited to the following :
Serve as central hub for all MBACM student communications for the full-time and executive MBA programs. Coordinate content and track effectiveness of multi-channel communications (email, social media, web-based platforms) to current and incoming MBA students to drive usage of MBACM services, online resources, and live programs.
Manage the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system and related activities : build marketing lists, create / send campaigns, execute A / B tests and personalized comms strategies.
Support P&C Director and Sr.AD on student communications plan, and coordinate with career advisors on industry-level communications.
Support Employer Engagement team on employer marketing efforts as needed.
Manage year-round content updates and UX for proprietary MAP (My Action Plan) career education platform and department websites, and support annual refresh project in May / June.
Support ongoing buildout of MAP site, implement updates to site architecture, new resources and content. Partner with MAP Development Team to integrate personalization features and data tools.
Track and report MAP student usage to the broader team, and identify opportunity areas for future development.
Collaborate with the Director and Sr. AD of Student Programs & Communication to develop career education programming calendar to support students’ end-to-end career exploration and recruiting process.
Serve as primary point-of-contact with internal & external subject matter experts to coordinate content creation and delivery for career education workshops and events.
Manage vendor relationships and partner with MBACM Operations Team on contracts and billing. Plan and execute all logistical needs for live events, including requesting space, managing RSVPs and attendance tracking, distributing student feedback surveys, livestream or classroom tech support, video recordings and post-edit needs.
Serve as on-site liaison for external presenters.
Execute design projects for the department, such as graphics-based emails, infographics, presentation slides, event collateral, MBACM recruiting guides and worksheets.
Maintain close working relationship with Wharton’s central Marketing and Communications department to assure adherence to current brand and design standards.
Support the MBACM Senior Team on building and executing annual class-wide surveys, help analyze results and present key findings to all staff.
Work closely with the Director and Sr. AD of Student Programs & Communication on insights-based year-end review of MBACM communications and career resources (live programs + online resources), and support strategic planning process with a critical eye towards ongoing improvement and innovation.
Plan and implement MBACM podcast series. Partner with advising and employer teams on topics and manage production process.
QUALIFICATIONS :
- 5-7 years of experience with a High School diploma, or equivalent combination of education and experience required
- Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, Design, or related field preferred
- 3-5 years of marketing / communication and web / graphic design experience strongly preferred
- Must have excellent writing, copyediting, and communication skills, and fastidious attention to detail
- A successful candidate will have proficiency in email marketing programs, website analytics, listserv management, content management systems (e.
g., Word Press), and design software. Experience in Adobe InDesign or a similar program for page layouts and graphic design is preferred, but not required
- A successful candidate should have exemplary project management and problem-solving skills and be able to effectively work collaboratively and individually.
- Possess strong organizational and time management skills. Able to manage multiple tasks at once and a high volume of outgoing student communications during peak periods
- Ability to work with limited supervision, exercise sound judgment and discretion, and maintain the highest standards of customer service and professionalism while working with a wide range of individuals
- Can thrive in a dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities and client needs
- Proficient in use of MS Office applications (PowerPoint, Word, Excel) required
- Experience with basic data analytics a plus
- Knowledge of the recruiting process in a corporate or academic setting a plus
