Dog Training Elite Los Angeles is looking for a Dog Trainer to serve our clients and their dogs. Dog training experience is NOT required.
Dog Training Elite is a leader in the dog training field with decades of experience and a widespread presence across the United States.
We have been serving clients in the Los Angeles Metro area since January 2024.
The majority of training sessions take place in clients’ homes, offering a dynamic environment where you'll interact with various people and dogs.
New hires will undergo one month of training and shadowing before conducting sessions independently. A genuine love for dogs and a passion for learning are essential qualities.
JOB DUTIES :
Conduct dog training sessions using DTE training methods
Assess and evaluate dogs' behavior and training needs
Alter training plans based on individual dog’s and owner’s needs
Teach basic obedience commands such as sit, come, down and heel
Address issues such as reactivity, separation anxiety and leash pulling
Provide guidance and support to dog owners
Maintain accurate records of training sessions and progress
Support and attend marketing events as a brand ambassador promoting DTE
EXPERIENCE :
Previous experience as a professional dog trainer is not required.
Previous experience in working in a dog day care, pet grooming, or pet sitting is a plus.
Teaching, coaching or mentoring experience is a plus.

Excellent communication skills are required, along with comfort working with diverse personalities, styles, and cultures.
Ability to effectively teach and explain concepts to dog owners.
Ability to handle dogs of all sizes and temperaments safely and confidently.
REQUIREMENTS :
Current and valid driver's license, insurance and reliable transportation are required.
Background check required.
SCHEDULE :
40 hours a week. Weekdays from 10 AM to 6 PM. Saturdays from 11 AM to 4 PM.
WORK LOCATION :
On the road / remote; multiple client home locations.
