Position Summary : The following accountabilities have been established for this senior leadership position, under the scope of work associated with CityMatCH, a freestanding national organization at the University of Nebraska Medical Center, which serves by agreement as its fiscal agent.
This position is needed to provide direction and oversight to the education and training programs in the Section / CityMatCH, manage financial accountability for cooperative agreements and grant funding, supervise and lead staff teams working on education and training initiatives, and, in conjunction with the Executive Director and other Senior Staff Team members, provide overall leadership for the Section / CityMatCH and represent CityMatCH and UNMC on a national level.

Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required Education : Public Administration, Public Health or related field.
Required Experience : 2 years of experience in grant writing, curriculum development and implementation.
Required License : Valid driver’s license
Required Computer Applications : Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint

As this position represents CityMatCH at national meetings and conferences, out-state travel is required which may include, but is not limited to, twenty nights per year with some weekend travel.
Variable working hours may be beyond the normal hours of 8 : 00am to 4 : 30pm.
Knowledge of principles and methods of public health practice, particularly relating to MCH.
Knowledge about programs and project administration, including organizational methods, personnel and budgeting.
Knowledge of trends in the delivery of public health / MCH services.
Knowledge of other health and human services systems.
Knowledge about state and national organizations and the national health policy field.
Knowledge of urban health status and human services systems.
