SUMMARY :
Under the general supervision of a Certified Teacher, assist to meet physical and instructional needs of students with disabilities in a self-contained classroom.
Assist in implementation of classroom programs, including self-help, behavior management, and instruction programs. Assists with the implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEP).

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Instructional Support
- Provide instruction to students under the direction of teacher, work with individual students or small groups.
- Assist teacher in preparing instructional materials and classroom displays.
- Assist with administration and scoring of objective testing instruments or work assignments.
- Help maintain neat and orderly classroom.
- Help with inventory, care, and maintenance of equipment.
