Summary
The Technical Product Owner - Wholesale will work with Project Management and stakeholders to turn product strategy into a prioritized backlog of user stories.
This role is responsible for designing, developing, and deploying enhancements and interfaces with internal systems and SaaS providers.
The Product Owner will collaborate with business teams to implement, measure, and learn from improvements. Additionally, the Product Owner will manage the execution of product features and the roadmap for Wholesale tech projects, ensuring alignment with KPIs that measure the objectives of the IT Division and line of business stakeholders.
Essential Functions
- Lead and manage end-to-end data automation projects, including planning, execution, and delivery.
- Lead professional and technical staff in the development life cycle (requirements definition, project approval, design, development, and implementation) and maintenance of the systems assigned to them.
- Develop project plans and timelines, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams and ensure effective communication and collaboration.
- Track project performance and provide regular updates to stakeholders and leadership.
- Develops associates through mentoring, coaching, and challenging assignments.
- Guides the development and use of standards and procedures according to Architecture Review Board best practices, revising standards and procedures as requirements change and technological advancements are incorporated into the >
tech structure.
- Communicates and promotes the code of ethics and business conduct.
- Ensures completion of required company compliance training programs.
- Is trained either through formal education or through experience in software / hardware technologies and development methodologies.
- Stays current through personal development and professional and industry organizations.
Additional Functions
- Leads a team of data automation engineers, analysts, data stewards, and developers.
- Defines and executes the data automation strategy and roadmap for the organization.
- Identifies and evaluates the data automation needs and opportunities for different business units and functions.
- Designs and develops data automation solutions using various technologies, such as scripting languages, databases, APIs, and cloud services.
- Ensures the quality, security, and compliance of the data automation solutions and the data sources.
- Monitors and troubleshoots the data automation solutions, resolving any issues or errors.
- Provides training and support to the end users of the data automation solutions.
Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, information systems, or a related field.
- 5-10 years of experience as a Product Owner or in a similar role.
- Proven experience in creating comprehensive documentation for varied audiences, ensuring clarity and understanding.
- Demonstrated ability to work within complex software environments, managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to define and communicate a clear product vision and strategy.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage and prioritize a backlog of user stories.
- Experience in conducting formal reviews and acceptance of user stories, ensuring they meet the defined acceptance criteria.
- Experience with project management tools like JIRA, aiding in task tracking and project coordination.
Working Conditions & Physical Demands
- This position requires in person office presence at least 4x a week.
