The Technician III, Medical is responsible for performing standard testing and evaluation on a variety of products and for preparing technical reports.

What you’ll do

Listed examples are illustrative and representative of the tasks required of the Technician III, Medical position and are not intended to be complete or exclusive.

  • Set up test apparatus
  • Perform basic analysis of test data and routine calculations
  • Provide an exceptional customer experience to all customers throughout the onsite testing
  • Interact with customers in a professional manner including appearance and attitude
  • Diligent safety practices, knowledge of OSHA standards, and use of safety equipment as required by management
  • Work closely with lead / team members and take direction to complete projects within certain policies and procedures
  • Daily cleanup and maintenance of projects, work equipment, work site, vehicles and organize all tools and materials
  • Attend mandatory training sessions on new products, installation methodology, and safety
  • Troubleshoot, test, repair, and service technical equipment

What it takes to be successful in this role :

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 5+ years of experience
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, multi-tasking environment with shifting priorities and demanding deadlines
  • Ability to use basic shop equipment and various hand tools
  • Ability to review, understand, and convey technical information in an effective manner
  • Ability to apply common-sense understanding to carry out simple one or two step instructions
  • Must be detailed-oriented and able to effectively prioritize and organize workload, with efficient time management
  • Ability to communicate and interact effectively in verbal, written and presentation formats
  • Must be customer focused and quality driven
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
  • Ability to travel, up to 15%
  • Ability to wear a full face piece respirator required for up to an hour

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to utilize basic shop equipment and various hand tools
  • Ability to review, understand, and convey technical information in an effective manner
  • Ability to apply common-sense understanding to carry out simple one or two step instructions
  • Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment
  • Strong communication skills, in both verbal and written formats
  • Microsoft Office software expertise, including Word, Excel and Outlook

Preferred Requirements and Qualifications

  • Trade school certification or Associates degree in technical field
  • 7+ years of relatable experience
  • OSHA safety certification preferred
  • Previous experience with medical device equipment preferred
  • Intermediate knowledge with Microsoft Office
