Senior Product Owner

Description

Leidos Defense Systems is seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Product Owner to lead our software product initiatives for a variety of Counter-Unmanned Aircraft Systems (C-UAS) systems.

The ideal candidate will be adept at collaborating with executives and senior management and have a proven track record of leading cross-functional teams to develop extensible software systems.

In this role, you will manage complex software systems, aligning product strategies with key stakeholder requirements. You will leverage strategic insights in data interfaces and diverse programming languages to guide system development and testing phases.

Collaborating with government and industry teams, you will shape overarching product strategies, ensure compliance, and maintain safety and security standards.

You will oversee the strategic development and integration of scalable cloud architecture solutions, focusing on maximizing performance, security, and cost-effectiveness while aligning with the latest technological advancements and industry best practices.

As a Senior Product Owner, you will also lead agile teams, promoting agile methodologies and best practices to ensure efficient and effective product development.

You will foster a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and high performance within the product teams. Effective collaboration with executives and senior management will be essential to shape overarching product strategies and ensure alignment with organizational vision and goals.

You will communicate product vision, strategy, and progress to executive stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment.

Primary Responsibilities

• Manage complex software systems, aligning product strategies with key stakeholder requirements.
• Develop and manage product roadmaps, ensuring alignment with business goals and strategic objectives.
• Leverage strategic insights in data interfaces and diverse programming languages to guide system development and testing phases.
• Lead agile teams, promoting agile methodologies and best practices to ensure efficient and effective product development.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and high performance within the product teams.
• Collaborate with executives and senior management to shape overarching product strategies and ensure alignment with organizational vision and goals.
• Communicate product vision, strategy, and progress to executive stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards, focusing on safety and security.
• Oversee the strategic development and deployment of scalable cloud architecture solutions, maximizing performance, security, and cost-effectiveness.
• Lead the integration of innovative cloud technologies across the organization.
• Drive digital transformation initiatives and enhance system capabilities to support long-term business objectives and operational efficiency.
• Coordinate with government and industry teams to ensure product strategies meet compliance and regulatory standards. Qualifications :
• Proven experience in product ownership, specifically within complex software systems.
• Strong understanding of data interfaces, diverse programming languages, and cloud architecture solutions.
• Demonstrated experience in agile leadership, with a track record of promoting agile methodologies and leading agile teams.
• Experience collaborating with executives and senior management.
• Knowledge of battle management systems and Joint All Domain Command and Control (JADC2) is highly desirable.
• Strong focus on compliance, safety, and security standards.
• Proven ability to lead digital transformation initiatives and integrate innovative technologies.
• Experience in leading cross-functional teams to develop robust software systems.

Basic Qualifications

• This position requires a BA / BS or equivalent experience and 12+ years prior relevant experience or a Master's degree with 10+ years of experience.
• Excellent communications skills - demonstrated through written and oral presentations, development of technical papers, volumes, or similar products.
• Possess business and technical vision as well as the ability to rapidly ingest and understand technical solutions.
• Ability to think and act strategically.
• Possess analytic, presentation, and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with online tools used by the Federal Government for solicitations.

Candidates must be a resident of Huntsville, Alabama or be willing to relocate to the Huntsville, Alabama area.

Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a Final DoD Secret Clearance

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of battle management systems and Joint All Domain Command and Control (JADC2) is highly desirable.
• Subject matter expertise in Force Protection, cUAS, and / or Software Development and Integration.

Pay Range : Pay Range $122,200.00 - $220,900.00
