Main Responsibilities
- Makes mechanical repairs or adjustments to many different types of equipment throughout GW facilities
- Participates in construction projects
- Makes repairs to facility infrastructure (i.e. plumbing, process piping, structural members, HVAC equipment, and some process equipment)
- Performs welding and fabrication for various production and non-production projects.
- Keeps work area clean and in order
- Follows all company safety procedures and guidelines.
- Other tasks as assigned by manager / supervisor
- Willing to work in hot, dusty environment (foundry)
- Willing to work a shift starting at 4am.
- Some outdoor work required in hot or cold conditions
- Valid VA driver’s license is required
Education / Training
High School or GED preferred
Prior industrial maintenance experience preferred
Qualifications / Experience
- Tear down, troubleshoot and repair various mechanical assemblies
- Construction skills including : Carpentry and Plumbing
- Ability to perform general welding (GMAW, SMAW) and fabrication
- Fundamental machining skills desirable
- Proven math skills, reading skills, and computer skills. Ability to receive and execute written or verbal instructions
- Experience using a variety of hand and power tools for maintenance purposes.
- Understanding of general industrial safety principles
- Expected to supply own basic hand tools
