General Description :

The Project Supervisor position is responsible for determining the project deliverables and specifications, including the project scope, necessary project resources, and estimated labor needed by collaborating with clients, engineers, and architects,

This position will be responsible for driving CCI's Mission, Vision, and Values, a crucial part of the strategic plan to drive success.

Essential Duties & Job Functions :

  • Ensure a safe work environment.
  • Experience with ADEC Storm Water Pollution Administration.
  • Experience in construction mass production projects.
  • Calculate the cost estimate of all project tasks and accurately manage the project budget.
  • Plan and schedule the entire construction project, including construction operations and timelines to make sure project deadlines are met.
  • Acquire the appropriate licenses and permits from the corresponding authorities and ensure construction is up to code.
  • Work with subcontractors, and external vendors to negotiate profitable contracts.
  • Communicate the status of the building project to key stakeholders by providing regular progress reports.
  • Prepare construction project cost estimates, budgets, proposals.
  • Experience with State of Alaska Department of Transportation work, specifically guardrails and fencing strongly desired.
  • Determine needed resources (manpower, equipment, materials) from project start to finish with attention to budgetary limitations.
  • Negotiate subcontract agreements, assist with construction contract negotiations.
  • Familiarity with construction documents, drawings, specifications, addendums, etc..
  • Carefully analyze subcontractor proposals, negotiate subcontract agreements, and change orders.
  • Prepare and review submittal packages, interface with designers / engineers for compliance.
  • Interface with project superintendent to coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, create interim look-ahead work schedules.
  • Maintain of job-related documentation.
  • Track costs and cashflow management throughout assigned projects.
  • Maintain relationships with existing clients as well as marking of new business through these developed relationships.
  • Conduct project meetings, interface with administrative staff for preparation of minutes.
  • Attend and participate in required meetings, trainings, and exercises,
  • Maintain a high level of confidentiality,
  • Serve as a representative of the company, displaying courtesy, consideration, and discretion in all interactions.
  • Other duties as assigned.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works on-site at the construction work site where the employee is exposed to moving mechanical parts;

high precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; outside weather conditions and risk of electrical shock. The noise in these work environments is usually moderate to very loud.

Position may be working with potentially hazardous materials and wastes.

Physical Requirements :

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

A pre-hire post offer Functional Capacity Evaluation (FCE) will be conducted to determine an employee’s ability to perform to the job standard.

MOBILITY : Must be able to access all controls and all parts of machinery for service. Must be able to push / pull 20 pounds for 20 feet.

Frequent walking and standing. Occasional keyboard use, sitting, bending, twisting, and reaching.

  • HEARING : Must be able to hear audible safety alarms.
  • VISUAL ACUITY : Must be adequate to perform above listed tasks in a safe manner and take hand signals from ground man or flag man.
  • LIFTING : Must be able to routinely lift up to 20 pounds from floor to waist, 20 pounds from waist level to shoulder height and carry 20 pounds for 20 feet.
  • RANGE OF MOTION : An objective range of motion measurement will be conducted and recorded using a five position and rapid exchange grip strength test during the pre-hire / post offer FCE.

Contingencies :

Offer contingent upon ability to pass a pre-employment drug test and background check.

Requirements

Required Qualifications :

  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Experience in Pile driving / Drilling Operations is required.
  • Large Construction / Oil Field Project Supervision is required.
  • Forklift Operator certificate required.
  • CPR / First Aid Trained required.
  • Experience in Storm Water Pollution Administration is required.
  • A valid driver's license is required.
